- $14/hr is the average nation wide, not at Hostess. The guy who sweeps the loading dock makes more than that. My husband is one of those managers who will get those outrageous bonuses for staying to clean up after the union.

- Well, the current upper management staff has been working for a $1 salary since 2 months after the current CEO's tenure started. So, like, two. Do your research. All those cuts the union took? My middle management husband's employees were making more than he was.

- I think it is hysterical that some of you are trying to insinuate that "liberals" are behind this. You apparently don't know any. I am as liberal, politically, as they come, and I specifically told my realtor that I would not even consider a house in a planned neighborhood for just this reason.

- Here in the midwest we get that smell all the time. Whenever there is a sewer gas leak, or from the wells when the ground water is low. If we worried about it every time it happened we'd be in a constant state of panic.
